We routinely strike gem pockets of tourmaline, lepidolite, kunzite, quartz at one of the only officially listed active gem mines 'operating' in California. There is really no better time to come and visit the mine and experience the new gems than now. We will be activating our online ordering system in 2012 too. Stay tuned or come up to the mine by making a reservation. We are expecting to hit another Christmas pocket this year. In December 2010 we began hitting some fabulous bluecap tourmalines on rubellite. We have continued to find interesting pockets with lepidolite, quartz, kunzite, beryl and of course tourmaline all year long. We'll post some photos once we open up the pocket more. If you have not been to the mine in 2011 you have missed some spectacular finds. Some of their cousins make it to the mine tailings as well. We are hitting lapidary grade, top quality lepidolite fr making spheres, cabochons, carvings - you name it. If you own a rock shop feel free to contact us - we will give you the best price in town. Send inquiries to Jeff at 760-415-9143 or Peter at 760-484-1642. Wholesale pricing available for large orders. Maybe it's time to come check out the Oceanview again? |
